Until further notice, Jenny will being seeing client's virtually through Simple Practice. Simple Practice is a practice management system with HIPPA compliant software to keep your information secure.
Here's what you need to know about your first appointment:
You’ll be sent a link for the video appointment 10 minutes before your appointment time. Click on it when our appointment is scheduled to start or open it through the Telehealth by SimplePractice app (download free in the app store). You can use the camera and audio on your computer or mobile device.
If you haven't signed the Telehealth Informed Consent document, you'll receive email notification via the Simple Practice portal to complete a new form, Telehealth Informed Consent. Please read and sign accordingly.

As soon as it is safe to do so, Jenny will transition back to face-to-face appointments.
Until then, here are a few tips to get the most out of your virtual session:
1. Take a few minutes to consider where you are having the session to ensure privacy. This will ensure you have a sense of safety and freedom to talk as you would in an office setting.
2. Consider getting dressed for the session. Although it's nice to spend a day in pj's, what Jenny and other therapists and clients have found is getting dressed helps clients feel ready to do the work.
3. Many studies have shown, virtual therapy is just as effective as in person therapy. But if you are used to meeting in person, this change may initially be tough. If something feels off or uncomfortable about meeting virtually, consider bringing up your feelings or concerns. Jenny will work with you to help ensure you are comfortable.
